Residential Design - Badendyke addition.

Innovation:

A son, just as he is about to embark on his career, is forced to move back into the family house due to a disability caused by an accident.  Design challenge: The creation of a healthy indoor environment addressing specialized needs, and allowing the individual privacy, and to pursue his interests and career.  This project addresses extended family, while affording privacy and accessibility for different lifestyles. studio work space, rehabilitation therapy, bedroom and bathing area, staff area, living area and kitchen.
The upper level of the house with covered porch and barrel-vaulted main living space allows the parents a special area with views of the Shawangunk ridge
