Innovation:
A Tulekevi Masonry heater with thermal mass located at the center of
the house, allowing 8 hour burns to heat the house. The floor
plan at the main level is an open plan connecting to upper floor at the
living room with a balcony above. A dual Energy recovery
ventilation system for continuous multi-speed freshair to living spaces
exhausting stale air from bathroom and kitchen areas is
installed. A cantilevered strutural system eliminates collar ties
for an unobstructed view through the porch at each floor. The
porch roof also is a solar shading strucure and daylighting is
modeled.
